Horse Riding the Loch Ness 360° Trail

Horse riding around Loch Ness and Inverness is one of the most memorable ways to explore and experience this part of the country. High above the walkers, cyclists and drivers you can feel the fresh Highland air flow across your face. 

Best of all, horse riding can take you where no other transport can, letting you enjoy a wilderness hard to find elsewhere. Moors, forests, hillsides and the banks of Scottish lochs are all waiting to be explored. 

The area around Loch Ness offers some great trails and paths to take. Whether you plan on bringing your own horse for an amazing holiday together, or want to hire one when you arrive, you are sure to have a fantastic time!

Hiring a Horse

If you fancy taking a trip out around the loch on horseback, Loch Ness Riding offer day rides and trail rides of 2-5 days as well as shorter hacks of 1, 2 and 3 hours. This is a great opportunity to see this part of the country like never before. Bringing Your Own Horse to Loch Ness

There are stables near Loch Ness that allow you to bring your own horse to the area. 

Loch Ness Riding, near Dores on the south side of the loch let you bring your horse on holiday with you. They also offer self-catering accommodation on site,  and are approved by the BHS Horses Welcome Scheme.
